About us
How we make a difference
Amara Giving is a charitable initiative dedicated to reducing food waste and combating hunger. Our mission is clear and impactful: redirect surplus food to those who need it most, providing nutritious meals to homeless individuals, food banks, and shelters.
Since our inception in June 2024, we have served over 100,000 meals to vulnerable communities, addressing food insecurity while promoting sustainability. Together, we can reduce waste, feed those in need, and build a brighter, more sustainable future.

Turning Waste into Opportunity:
Why Amara Giving Matters
9.5mn
Tonnes of food discarded
The UK discards 9.5 million tonnes of food annually, even though 70% of it is still edible.
4.7mn
People experience food insecurity
Approximately 4.7 million people in the UK experience food insecurity, while surplus food could meet this need.
300mn
Meals can be redirected annually
If just 10% of UK food waste were redirected, it could provide 300 million meals to those in need annually.
Our Mission
At Amara Giving, our mission is simple yet powerful: to reduce food wastage, alleviate hunger, and foster a more sustainable future for our community. We believe that every meal saved and every resource redirected can create a ripple effect of positive change.
Alleviate Hunger
Hunger is a problem we can solve by repurposing food that would otherwise be wasted.
Reduce Food Wastage
We’re making a tangible impact on reducing the millions of tonnes of food waste generated annually in the UK.
Promote Sustainability
Together, we can create a cycle of giving that’s as sustainable as it is transformative.

Together, we’re making a difference.
Amara Giving is proud to collaborate with The Marylebone Project, the UK’s only 24/7 shelter supporting 140 vulnerable women. By delivering daily meals, we help ensure these women receive the nourishment they need as part of their care and recovery journey.
